We have at least a dozen lorrikeets arrive at this spot three times a day. They scream at me if I am late feeding them. They also live here when it rains. I speak their language.
A place I used to work had a field next to it and a few wildly colored birds would sit in the trees. We guessed them to be escaped pets. Not sure if they were parrots or what but not the kind we see around here in the city.

They are utterly beautiful but I am too depressed over the pigeon to find any enjoyment right now.
The pigeon is fine. I will post its photo when it is fully recovered and do a new lorikeet post so you can enjoy.
